Beyond an Early Door

From the interminable tide
of sleep
The world outside
Holds a morning
To make your toes curl
A wind swept sweet
Like millions of pixies
Kissing your skin
As they rush past

ur words reminde me of something i have been trying to write for a while but ot finding the words ... i woke up and went out to play, looked into the distance and saw such an amazing sight - just the way the light was falling, like a bucket full of sunligh tipped down from the sky ... and in it a hundred butterflies ... will write it out someday :)

prerona - Just toolin' around in photoshop a bit. I look forward to reading that morning. Sounds like you already have a great start.

inkblot - Dreamland every morning? You jest!

transience - Thank me? No, thank you for the comment. Agree about the sky. I almost regret putting words down to detract from it.

Very lovely picture. And the words are like adding sugar to just-the-right-temperature coffee!

Adore the photo! Skewed angle is the perfect accompaniment to your poem. Love the expression "To make your toes curl" and especially the similie of pixies kissing your skin. You have a fine grasp on short pity poetry.
P.S. Did you mean to use "suite" instead of "sweet?"

An otherwordly image; an enchanting piece. Together, they give me an exhilarating sensation of flight. ^_^

stormy zephyr - That's a hell of a line in its own right. Thanks.

cocaine jesus - You betcha! It was.

**silvermOOn** - Thank you for the compliment. But pity poetry? Yikes! All this time I was thinking celebratory.

Danny - I like when reality transcends reality.

soulless - That's the plan. To fly...

Oh, I'm glad I happened in here, when I meant to read a newer post.
Please forgive my typo! Is that why you've not visited me? I consistenly make horrendous typos due to a permanent hand impairment (luckily not on my drawing hand). I meant "pithy" not "pity!" Deep apologies!
