She dons her pearls,
fixes her hair
views angles in that
reflection of vanity

Contorting
Smiling
Amused
I stop in the doorway
silently gazing
with curious temptation
at this seductive display

she notices,
blushes
then begins to laugh
And for that one instant
the curtain was pulled
on the hilarious comedy

Somewhere in the distance

and the unquenchable is sought
but the curtain is closed

this was lovely. i always thought at some point that sex all came down to a great big comedy with people who are too busy with their hands to applaud the performance.
