Hey shelly, welcome to my intermittent world. I suppose I wouldn't mind being in your directory. Does this mean I have to be proactive?

Bert,

"Intermittent" has been one of my favorite words since I learned it as a child. Love its sound. Doesn't it evoke a stretched (non-literal, as in Gel made up this new "definition") of onomatopoeia to you, with those syllablic breaks and t sounds? Your poems and prose also have that sound to them. I think that's part of the reason you're writings sound so real. They're different than mere descriptive vignettes.

P.S.In real life, I'd eavesdrop, and keep my comment, when you reply to someone else, politely to myself and silently laugh at "does this mean I have to be proactive?"

P.P.S. Word Verication had "art" in the middle. I kid you not!

"intermittent" surely does have that onomatopoeia sound -- very hard and not as airy as the word "onomatopoeia" itself, though.

p.s.
oh, we're all friends here. i'm sure shelly won't mind. right shelly? heh.

p.p.s.
speaking of word sounds, that's like the most inartistic word. art art art art art

and think nothing of any typos. you've explained before. the trees aren't important, but... ahhh, the forest.
